I never imagine that this world was governed by the corporations and they are who mark our way of life and make us a society more consumer, the man in search to satisfy his needs does not thing that the only thing that they do is to destroy the planet producing goods without returning what they exploit of the planet, only they devour and finish with the life in the planet because of it it seems to me that we all must be part of this world problem that affects the planet.
Critical theorists in political philosophy always preach that, even when attempting to be, impartiality is impossible. Indeed, the guise of impartiality is as much a subordination to an illiberal and unfair status quo. Thus, what is left is to make an argument based on logic and evidence; reason, to make one's point. This, the corporation clearly does. The movie makes a clear argument and takes on opposing evidence! A great documentary that will hopefully open the eyes of some.
Only it is enough to see this documentary to understand the bestiality with which the man finishes with the resources of the planet and destroys and abuses the different societies.
The documentary shows us like, after the American Civil war, the corporations took advantage of a Law destined to protect the interests of the former slaves as persons with right, as that of the buy of properties. The corporations saw in it the opportunity to grow.
With the help of attorneys' important offices they achieved that, not only in USA, but in practically the whole world there was approved the existence of the "legal person", which was allowing that the companies could demand(sue) and to be demands(lawsuits), to buy and to be bought for third, fixing its final motive: the companies must invoice to any cost and its principal aim always must be the financial profitability, for on all the things. Nevertheless, the principal difference between a person and a legal person is that the latter does not have moral conscience, and if moral conscience is not had how it is possible to to be a person? The interest and the responsibility of the corporations are only for its shareholders, not for its environment or the society in whom it develops.
The documentary shows the development of the contemporary business corporation, from a legal entity that originated as a government-chartered institution meant to effect specific public functions, to the rise of the modern commercial institution entitled to most of the legal rights of a person. One theme is its assessment as a "personality", as a result of an 1886 case in the United States Supreme Court in which a statement by Chief Justice Morrison R. Waite led to corporations as "persons" having the same rights as human beings, based on the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. The film's assessment is effected via the diagnostic criteria in the DSM-IV; Robert Hare, a University of British Columbia psychology professor and a consultant to the FBI, compares the profile of the contemporary profitable business corporation to that of a clinically-diagnosed psychopath. The documentary concentrates mostly upon North American corporations, especially those of the United States.
The evaluation of the "personality" of the (juridical) "person" who is the corporation from the criteria of the diagnostic Manual and statistician of the mental disorders (DSM-IV) establishes a parallelism between the conduct of the modern corporation with spirit of profit and the behavior of a clinical diagnosed psychopath. The corporate examined practices fit with the symptoms that the DSM-IV considers definitorios of the psychopaty:
* Merciless disrespect for the feelings of others.
* Disability to support long relations.
* Imprudent unconcern for the safety of others.
* Falsehood: to lie and to cheat repeatedly others to enrich itself.
* Disability to feel guilty.
* Disability to respect the social procedure and the legal limits of conduct.
